SOMEONE who certainly sends out Christmas cards with a difference is Wilf Lunn.

The Huddersfield inventor has made his own cards for decades to send to family and friends.

But, as you’d expect with Wilf and his zany take on life, they’re more than a bit different.

And he’s now sharing them with the public with his new book called No Animals Were Harmed Making These Christmas Cards.

Some will really make you think while even Wilf accepts that others are not exactly in the best possible taste.

How about the turkey leftovers Christmas tree – all the meat is gone leaving a turkey head playing the role of the Christmas tree fairy and its feet keeping it extra static.

Another one features a ‘formidable fairy’ which has needed a smaller than average tree to bear her weight while a third is what a Christmas tree would look like if it was on a bus route.

And Wilf, of Kirkburton, has penned a poem to his overweight fairy, saying:

Now it’s Christmas time

Try this simple diet

Eat nothing bigger than your head

And get someone else to buy it

Wilf will be signing copies of his book in Waterstones, Kingsgate, at 1pm tomorrow.

The limited edition hardback costs £14.99 while the paperback is £9.99.
