TWO hairdressers will have the wind blowing through their hair on Sunday, when they take part in a parachute jump for charity.
Alan Chapman, 56, of the women's and men's salon that bears his name in Westgate, Honley, and friend and part- time hairdresser Kay Shaw, 61, will be descending 14,000 feet in aid of Leukaemia Research.
"Kay does a lot of work for charity and persuaded me to join her in this jump," said Alan.
" I'm excited about it - but at 15 stones I think I'll be descending faster than most people!"
They will be taking part in a tandem jump at Hibaldstow, north Lincolnshire.
"My family think I'm simple - but it will be good for the buzz!" added Alan.
The pair hope to raise £2,000 between them for the charity.
"The customers in the shop have been really generous, we really appreciate their support," said Alan.
