PANELS of glass rescued from a local landmark form part of a new stained glass window at Kirkburton Parish Church.

The recycled window was dedicated during a special service at All Hallows Church.

It incorporates beautiful stained glass panels from the old Kirkburton Town Hall that had been hidden away in storage for years.

The town hall, formerly known as Springfield House, was built in the 1830s. It was bought by Kirkburton Urban District Council in 1935 and became its town hall three years later until the council sold it in 1982.

The dedication took place at a Civic Service attended by the chairman of Kirkburton Parish Council Clr Geof Hickey.
