A PADDOCK man has won a £25 shopping voucher in a Kirklees Council project on allotments.
Mr Bryan McArtney completed a questionnaire about allotments at Royds Hall in Paddock, which was entered into the prize draw run by the council.
More than 1,500 residents were polled for their ideas for the ground.
The land is designated for allotments but is available for transformation under the Allotments for Health and Wellbeing project.
Julian Faulkner, social forestry officer for Kirklees Council said: "This would mean some site clearance work to remove derelict sheds and greenhouses.
"Then there could be a planting scheme - possibly a community orchard or coppice - for the remaining allotment plots and Middle Wood next to the site."
The three-year project is funded by the government's Big Lottery Fund. It aims to promote the growing of produce and opportunities for open air activities, exercise and healthy eating.
