RAUNCHY sex scenes featuring Huddersfield actress Zoe Lucker have been cut from the new series of Footballers' Wives.
ITV bosses are said to have pulled the plug on the scenes, which feature a four-in-a-bed sex session, for fear of complaints from viewers.
The decision was taken following allegations of a similar act - known as "roasting" - made against real footballers by a teenage girl.
A programme insider said: "Footballers' Wives has always featured sex scenes which cause a bit of a stir.
"But these scenes were just one step too far, particularly because of the current 'roasting' controversy."
A show spokes- woman said: "The scene will not be shown in its entirety."
The scenes would have appeared in the first episode of the new series.
They would have featured scheming Tanya Turner - played by Zoe - romping with new team captain Conrad and a masseur before being interrupted by bisexual Conrad's wife Amber.
Previous reports have claimed the scenes had to be filmed in Phuket, Thailand because authorities in Dubai banned filming there due to the storyline.
