A WOMAN was subjected to a terrifying sexual assault in Halifax Road, Liversedge.

The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday morning when the 42-year-old woman left the Hightown Club.

She was walking along Halifax Road when she was then grabbed from behind by a man, but she managed to escape.

The suspect made off in the direction of the Windybank estate, Liversedge.

The incident happened near to the Pack Horse pub.

The suspect was described as a white man aged in his early 30s.

He was around six feet tall and of medium build. He had dark brown hair, was unshaven and with a full moustache.

He was wearing a light grey hooded top.
