A WOMAN of 71 is seriously ill after an accident involving her mobility scooter.

A WOMAN of 71 is seriously ill after an accident involving her mobility scooter.

The woman, from Batley, was riding her scooter when she was in collision with a blue Mazda 323F car at the junction of Victoria Avenue and Taylor Street in the town centre at 8.50am yesterday.

The woman is in Dewsbury District Hospital. Witnesses should phone Pc Gary Elener on 01924 206346.
