A WOMAN hurt in a hit and run accident in Bradley has left hospital.

The 34-year-old was badly injured when she was mown down by a car in Bradley Road last week.

The victim was struck by a blue Peugeot 206 hatchback on Bradley Road close to its junction with Tithe House Way and near the Alandale Road junction at 7.30am on Friday, December 30.

She has now returned home after extensive treatment at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Police are still hunting for the driver of the car – which has the registration number NX02 FSV.

The car was discovered burned out on Aquamarine Drive in Fartown shortly after 8am the same day.
