POLICE have released images of a woman wanted for a violent attack in Huddersfield.

And they believe she may have had her children with her when she assaulted two other women – even though the attack happened in the early hours.

Detectives have released details of the attack at Huddersfield railway station in the early hours of April 1.

They have also released images taken from cameras covering the railway station.

The two victims, women aged 35 and 39, had travelled from Manchester Victoria to Huddersfield.

On the same train was a woman travelling with her children. When the train arrived at Huddersfield, the third woman assaulted the two women, leaving them both with facial injuries.

Police have said the assault was totally unprovoked and both victims were baffled by the incident.

The woman left the railway station with the children and police want to hear from anyone who may have seen her.

They have appealed to anyone who recognises the woman in the image to contact Pc Rachel Jenkinson at the Huddersfield South Neighbourhood Policing Team on 01484 436642.

They also want to hear from any witnesses to the assaults.
