A WOMAN was rescued from her car after a crash on the M62.
The driver of a silver VW Passat was trapped in her vehicle after it was in collision with a lorry on the eastbound carriageway near Chain Bar yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews who were called to the scene cut off the roof of the car to free the woman, and she was taken to Pinderfields Hospital with serious injuries.
The lorry driver was unhurt. The crash, which happened at 1.40pm, blocked the hard shoulder and lane one of the carriageway for three hours.There were traffic jams back as far as Brighouse.
