A WOMAN was hurt in a freak accident in Linthwaite.
She was flung from a parked car in which she was sitting when it was struck by another car. The woman, thought to be in her 20s, was helped by rescuers and taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon in Cowlersley Lane, close to the junction with Hazel Grove. An eye-witness said the woman was in a Ford Ka which was thrown on to its roof by the force of the impact.
