POLICE have arrested two women who were allegedly duping money from the public in Huddersfield town centre.

 A police spokesman said they were called at 10am yesterday to reports that women pretending to be deaf and dumb were approaching people for cash in the Cross Church Street and Kirkgate areas of the town. The women, both in their early 20s, were arrested for fraud and inquiries are ongoing. Police are now keen for anyone who handed over money to contact them. Ring Pc 5612 Lisa Harley on 0845 6060606.
