after being called by concerned South Yorkshire Police at 2am yesterday morning.
They discovered the girl at 5am yesterday and she was taken to safety.
Around 20 members of the Woodhead team supported police. They were backed by crews using sniffer dogs.
Mike France from Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team said: “Luckily she was found safe.
“By the time we found her, got back and got our kit packed up everyone was ready to head to work.”
The emergency service volunteers cover the rural areas around Huddersfield, Barnsley and the north east of the Peak District National Park.
