WORK is due to start on Monday at a busy junction on Huddersfield ring road.

But engineers have stressed most of the repairs will be done between 7pm and 7am to keep disruption to drivers to a minimum wherever possible.

The work is due to continue until Wednesday at the Huddersfield Ring Road junction with St John's Road.

The road surface will be replaced and enhanced with a new anti-skid surface to help cut accidents.

During the work, ring road traffic will be reduced to one lane and there will be some diversions, including one for traffic travelling between Birkby and Huddersfield.

Bus routes will also be altered, but traffic and buses will revert to their normal routes during the day.

All the timings are subject to suitable weather conditions.
