MORE work is to be done at Huddersfield bus station’s multi-storey car park.

The first stage of resurfacing on the top two decks at the Upperhead Row building was completed in April.

Work to ensure compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act to the lift which gives access to the three decks with disabled parking has also been completed.

The second stage of the resurfacing on levels three and four will be completed in October.

But it means all decks apart from one and two will be closed while the work is done over the coming weeks.

In the meantime people are urged to park at the Cambridge Road and Springwood car parks.

Resurfacing to decks one and two will be carried out the next year.

The job follows on from the concrete repairs and painting to the car park parapet panels and the installation of new crash barriers and handrails on the edges of the decks and link ramps.
