FRANCE have won the World Cup.

Well, they have in the eyes of youngsters at Lindley Junior School.

The school’s Parent Teacher Association hosted their own version of the World Cup at the weekend.

And the France team defeated Argentina in the finals of the five-a-side contest.

Sixteen teams of children took part in the contest after a draw run by Town ambassador Andy Booth.

And all the teams had their own army of supporters to help create a carnival atmosphere.
