X Factor bosses hope to find the next Olly Murs or Ella Henderson - in a Huddersfield shopping centre.
The hit TV series is launching its 2015 talent search and Huddersfield is on the list.
A special mobile unit will be in the Kingsgate shopping centre on March 31 and will also be in a local bar later that day.
It is part of a far-reaching tour of Britain by production staff from the talent show, fronted by Simon Cowell.
A show spokesman said: “The X Factor auditions are back on the road in search of the best and freshest vocal talent as it looks to uncover the nation’s next big singing star.
“And this time there are more opportunities than ever to showcase your talent with our biggest-ever audition tour.
“We will be visiting an unprecedented 50 towns and cities across the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland”.
There are nine open auditions in cities including Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and London, but also more than 40 visits by the mobile unit.
That unit will be in the Kingsgate Centre from 9am until 5.30pm on March 31 but wannabe stars have been urged to turn up early as it will be on a first come first served basis for the auditions.
The team will also be holding an open mic night in The Rock Cafe in Victoria Lane in the evening.
Huddersfield has been represented on the show in recent years thanks to some singing superstars — including Carolynne Poole, who reached the live shows of the 2012 series under Gary Barlow's mentorship.
X Factor boyband The Risk, from the 2011 series, included Huddersfield lad Ashford Campbell, who got through to week five of the live shows before being voted off. The group stayed together but split last year to pursue solo careers.
All any budding hopefuls need to do is turn up on the date and time specified, whether they have registered in advance or not.
If they impress The X Factor team with their vocals, they will then be in with a chance of auditioning in front of the X Factor judges, when the judges’ auditions take place in summer.
