YORKSHIRE Bank has become the first business to support Huddersfield Town’s Keep It Up campaign.

The bank’s West Yorkshire Financial Solutions Centre in Bradford has made a £500 donation to the campaign to help keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s two helicopters maintained and flying.

The campaign aims to establish sustainable income for YAA, which has to raise £7,200 a day to continue its life-saving work.

As part of the fundraising drive, YAA’s distinctive red branding will appear on Town’s home shirts for the next three seasons – the first time a non-commercial group has occupied the traditional “sponsors” position.

Town fans will be encouraged to take part in fundraising activities for the Keep It Up campaign – from running marathons to children’s events. All money raised will be split evenly between Town’s academy and the YAA.

Kevin Newson, Yorkshire Bank’s FSC senior partner for Kirklees, said: “Both Huddersfield Town and the YAA do wonderful work in the communities they serve. We are delighted to support the club and the charity with this important campaign.”
