YORKSHIRE Sculpture Park has won a brace of awards for its corporate hospitality.

The West Bretton park won ‘Unique Venue of the Year’ and ‘Team of the Year’ prizes at the at the Insider Business Tourism Awards last week.

The awards, held this year at the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds, celebrate the best of Yorkshire’s tourism industry.

The park won venue of the year after it managed to expand its business by a third despite the global financial crisis.

And the park’s dedicated conferencing and hospitality team were honoured for their dedication to creating bespoke corporate events.

Jo Rodger, head of Visitor Services, said: “We are thrilled to see our hard-working team recognised for their commitment and passion, delivering successful events with client satisfaction and a high level of repeat business in a truly special venue.

“Every event brings a new challenge which we all enjoy responding to.

“We work hard, but have a lot of fun too.”

Yorkshire Sculpture Park hosts over 220 events annually and welcomes 8,000 delegates from across the globe.

Business expanded by 33% in the last year, with a focus on weddings, hospitality and repeat business from key clients, with next year set to see the same increase.
