A £1.4m grant has been won by the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Arts Council England announced the Park will receive £1,453,000 from its £40m Sustain fund.

That scheme was established to help organisations maintain high levels of artistic excellence during the economic downturn.

The award will enable the open-air gallery to continue to produce exciting and innovative exhibitions as well as allowing investment in essential maintenance works and preservation of the 500-acre historic landscape.
