THE Yorkshire Sculpture Park has secured another prestigious national award.

YSP at West Bretton took home the Bronze Business Tourism Award at the national Visit England Awards for Excellence for their world-class conferencing and hospitality services.

They were up against other leading UK venues including the likes of The Lowry Hotel in Manchester among others.

Jo Rodger, YSP’s head of visitor services, said: “This is an amazing achievement and the product of enormous hard work and dedication by the whole team here at YSP.

“This award helps show people that we can hold high quality business tourism events as well as provide a great leisure tourism experience for visitors.”

YSP was one of 10 Yorkshire finalists across the categories making it through to the major national awards after winning a White Rose Award, which are run by Welcome to Yorkshire to celebrate the county’s great tourism businesses.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “This is fantastic news for YSP.”
