YORKSHIRE Sculpture Park has won another top award.

The sculpture park, set in 500 acres of land in the village of Bretton, took the Business Tourism Award at the 2011 Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards – the “Oscars” of the regional tourism industry. The award was presented at a ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse after the sculpture park beat off tough competition from industry heavyweights including Magna Science Adventure Centre, Sheffield, International Venues, Harewood House, Weetwood Hall and Conference Centre, and the Royal Armouries.

It comes just weeks after the sculpture park was named Yorkshire’s Most Magnificent Attraction in a vote by the public.

The annual White Rose Awards recognise and celebrate the best of the region’s tourism industry.
