Police have released images after a woman was sexually assaulted in broad daylight on a busy town centre road.

The 36-year-old victim was followed by an unknown man on Wakefield Road before being approached in the car park at Riverbank Court, a council building in Aspley.

The man made uninvited sexual comments before touching her inappropriately.

An e-fit image of the suspect has also been released.

Enquiries into the assault, which took place last month on Wednesday June 22 at 11am, are currently ongoing.

The suspect has been described as a black male in his early 20s, 5ft 6in tall, of skinny build with short, black hair.

He was wearing jeans and trainers and spoke with a southern accent.
