"SHAHID Mohammed and anyone who knows where he is will have to keep looking over their shoulder. This investigation will not stop until justice has been done."

Those were the words of Det Supt Lisa Griffin, the police officer heading the team charged with tracking down the man suspected of orchestrating an arson attack which killed eight members of a Birkby family.

Thanks to help from the community and new developments the police have a new picture of wanted Shahid Mohammed.

Using information eked out during the investigation and from a recent day of action, cops believe the picture, which can be viewed by clicking here , is an up-to-date image of a man who vanished more than a decade ago.

Mohammed fled while on bail for the murders of the Chisti family who died in a devastating arson attack on their home in 2002.

While others have been brought to justice for the deaths of the family Shahid Mohammed has so far remained elusive.

Officers continue to slowly track him down for his role in the attack which saw petrol poured through the Chisti family's letterbox at 40 Osborne Road on the night of May 12, 2002.

The fire took hold with terrifying speed and claimed the lives of six-month-old Najeebah Nawaz, Aneesa Nawaz, two, Tayyaba Bootall, three, Ateeqa Nawaz, five, Rabiah Bootall, 10, Muhammed Ateeq-Ur-Rehman, 18, Nafeesa Aziz aged 35.

Zaib-U-Nisa, 54, died in hospital a week later.

Det Supt Griffin said: "As a result of the day of action we gained further information and descriptions have been received which suggest Shahid Mohammed may have changed his appearance.

"We are more determined than ever to apprehend Shahid Mohammed. This is an investigation that won't go away and we will continue to investigate this case for as long as it takes.

"Shahid Mohammed and anyone who knows where he is will have to keep looking over their shoulder. This investigation will not stop until justice has been done."
