Three emotional sell-out shows were held in memory of a much-loved dance school teacher who died suddenly at the age of 48.
Donna George, of Shepley, collapsed and died of a brain haemorrhage last October.
The Dewsbury-born mum-of-two set up the Georgie School of Theatre Arts, now based in Shelley.
Three shows, all performed at All Saints Catholic College in Bradley, were staged to raise money for the Brain Research Trust.
The dance school raised £600 from the shows taking the total raised for the charity so far to £7,000.
Around 160 dancers, aged between four and 18, took part in the shows watched by 600 people.
Poignantly, one of the routines, Viva la Vida, was choreographed by Donna’s daughter Courtney, a student at the Laine Theatre Arts in London.
The show programme was packed with dance and theatre routines including a stunning performance of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Donna’s husband Ken, who runs a film production company, said: “The whole event was a roller-coaster of emotions.
“Donna would have been so proud to have seen every single one of our young performers putting so much into the show.
“From a personal point of view, the event was bitter-sweet but sweet overall.”
Ken, an actor who has previously appeared on the TV show Gladiators, said he wanted to thank dance teacher Adele Swales, staff, show co-ordinators, parents and the dancers, who he described as “outstanding.”
Donna, who also had a son Elliot, was taken ill at the wheel of her car in Lepton after a meal out with some of her dancers.
She was given CPR at the scene before being taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where she died.
