A BOY of 13 was arrested after a stone was hurled through a bus window.
He was traced by police after the incident on Grosvenor Road, Dalton, at 4pm on Monday.
The stone went through a downstairs window, but luckily did not hit anyone on the school bus.
The youngster, who comes from Dalton and is a pupil at All Saints RC College at Bradley Bar, admitted the offence.
He has been referred to Kirklees Youth Offending Team and Kirklees Anti- Social Behaviour Unit.
Sgt John McFadzean, of Huddersfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "If the bus had been full of passengers someone could have been seriously injured.
"The quick arrest shows how seriously we take such incidents," he added.
