THE junior section at Meltham Cricket Club has received a £3,000 boost.
The Lodge of Peace freemasons in Meltham applied to the Provincial Grandmaster’s Fund for West Yorkshire for help after hearing the club needed money for its juniors.
The cash will be spent on cricket nets and other equipment.
Lodge of Peace charity steward Alan Elstone said: “The cricket club is very much a community-based organisation which is why we wanted to help.’’
