A HUDDERSFIELD project is using sport to turn youngsters into enterprising business people.
The project was launched at a sports-themed day at the Galpharm Stadium as part of Enterprise Week 2005.
Enterprise Week, paid for by regional development agency Yorkshire Forward, runs until November 20.
It is now in its second year of aiming to encourage young people to be enterprising, either in their work, community activities or by starting their own business.
At the Galpharm sport was being used to encourage enterprise.
Some 300 students from West Yorkshire tackled a series of sport-related workshops.
The pupils, who included students from Spen Valley High School and Newsome High School and Sports College, took on challenges ranging from a sports-themed murder mystery by Holmfirth theatre group CragRats to a fantasy football workshop involving learning how to manage players, performance and finances.
The pupils also met members of the Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants first team squads.
Ralph Rimmer, the stadium's managing director, gave a talk.
