YOUNG performers had a cracking time when they staged their version of The Ugly Duckling.
The children from Rowley Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School performed a musical comedy version of the show, named ‘Honk’, to an audience of family and friends.
The group of 40 Year 5 and 6 pupils rehearsed for the production at their after school drama club.
They staged the end of year show over three nights, dressing up in colourful costumes and singing songs.
Assistant head Jenny Shore said: “The children really enjoyed the show and instead of being sat in rows we had the audience on tables served refreshments, which was really nice.
“The children did a fantastic job, definitely more superior than what I had been expecting!”
