CHILDREN stepped back in time to experience what life was like in the wartime Colne Valley.
Year 6 pupils from St John's C of E Junior and Infant School at Golcar - pictured dressed as refugees - visited the Bullecourt Museum on Scar Lane, Milnsbridge.
They looked at Second World War artefacts such as uniforms, photos and even an Anderson bomb shelter.
All the items were given by Colne Valley people to the museum.
The children spoke to a local whose husband was in Colditz PoW camp in Germany.
