A SERIES of public meetings is planned to discuss the plans for new housing and industry needs.

The sessions will be attended by Kirklees Council planners .

The feedback will be considered by the council over the summer before they make a submission to the Government.

Meetings are planned for: Feb 24 Huddersfield Media Centre;Feb 26 Mirfield Community Centre; March 3 Cleckheaton Town Hall; March 4 Skelmanthorpe Library; March 5 Colne Valley Leisure Centre; March 10 Batley Town Hall; March 12 Huddersfield Methodist Mission; March 17 Dewsbury Town Hall; March 18 Holmfirth Civic Hall; March 19 Heckmondwike Scout & Community Centre; March 24 Birkenshaw Community Hall; March 26 Kirkburton Hub;

March 30 Dewsbury Town Hall; March 31 Huddersfield Media Centre.

The meetings are all open between 3pm and 8pm except Skelmanthorpe, which runs until 7pm.

Other ways people can get involved between February 23 and April 3 include logging on to www.kirklees.gov.uk/localdevelopment and commenting on line or calling at town halls and library and information centres across Kirklees.
