Burglars target homes with uPVC
BURGLARS are snapping the locks on uPVC doors to break into homes in Huddersfield. New figures show a quarter of burglaries in Kirklees have involved criminals breaking the europrofile locking barrels found on uPVC doors. Burglary reduction officer Dave Whitteron will speak about the problem at Lindley Library at 6pm on Thursday. Sash jammers – which make uPVC doors more secure – will be on sale at the meeting for £3.
