PROJECTS paid for by youth grants are to be showcased in Huddersfield.

Dance, cookery, motorbike maintenance and DJ-ing will be some of the activities on display at an exhibition on Tuesday, February 20.

The event at the Methodist Mission on Lord Street will demonstrate the success of projects paid for by the Youth Opportunities Fund.

A total of £400,361 has been spent on 114 Kirklees projects from 2006 to 2007.

The exhibition - from 11am to 3pm - will feature displays, performances, presentations and DVDs of projects.

Clr Jim Dodds, Kirklees Cabinet member responsible for children and young people's matters, said: "I would urge as many young people as possible to visit this exhibition.

"They will find something of interest."

People aged 13 to 19 are invited to the exhibition.

The Government money is allocated by a special team at Kirklees Young People's Service.
