A LOCAL ice cream maker is to help scoop the market in charity fundraising.

Denby Dale-based Yummy Yorkshire will offer customers a free scoop of its popular traditional vanilla ice cream when it takes part in an industry-wide initiative to support the NSPCC.

Owners Louise and Jeremy Holmes will provide the treat all day on Wednesday, April 1, for customers visiting their Delph House Farm ice cream parlour. All donations made on National Free Scoop Day – backed by the Ice Cream Alliance – will go to the charity.
