THE Fleece Countryside Inn at Barkisland is the region’s latest wedding venue.
Opened just before Christmas, the 18th century coaching inn has been entirely refurbished, complimented by a 120 seater function room built at the rear of the building.
The function suite boasts its own private terrace for summer weddings with stunning views over the beautiful Ryburn valley.
The accommodation has also been enhanced by a new bridal suite. Each of the individually appointed en-suite rooms include a flat screen satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities and two rooms have a separate level allowing family accommodation.
Other 21st Century additions include mirror televisions that certainly deliver the ‘wow factor’ and have been cleverly designed for wedding couples to show off photographs to their guests in a truly unique way!
And with state of the art audio visual equipment installed, The Fleece also caters for business meetings and conferences during the week.
Wedding and function menus can be tailor-made to the hosts choice. Timeless classics with innovative, modern twists on tradition, using only the best locally sourced ingredients are all offered complimented by a wide range of real ale, beers, lagers and an extensive wine menu.
The Fleece already has in the region of 20 weddings booked despite only being open for a number of weeks. There are still dates available for 2013.
