Home owners Tom and Sally Battye have lived at the house at Vicarage Meadows since it was built in 2002 and say it really has fulfilled all their requirements, both before having their children Miles, nine, and Nate, five, and certainly after having a family.

Sally said: “We lived in an old cottage before moving here to Cinderhills and this house has been so much easier to run and maintain.

“It’s a lovely warm house and it has been great for the children with a good sized back garden and spacious bedrooms. The house is in a cul-de-sac so ideal for children to play out and ride their bikes in safety.’’

The house sits in a small development of similar houses and bungalows, which includes the modern vicarage for Hepworth and Holmfirth, hence the name of the cul-de-sac.

Now however the family are hoping to move to another house, still within the Holme Valley.

“We’re only moving because we have seen another house we really love. It is a bit larger and is a chance for us to move onwards and upwards’’ said Sally.

Their current home is located just outside the Holmfirth in a quiet area with views over Scholes and Underbank. In just a few minutes you can walk into Holmfirth via South Lane and the house is ideal for access to local junior and high schools.

It is a very light and spacious home with the sun at the front in the morning and then on the back garden for the rest of the day. It is very quiet and peaceful all the time and ideal for a growing family,’’ said Sally.
