Northern Counties East League Division I leaders AFC Emley face a test of their title winning credentials tomorrow night.

They travel to third in the table Pontefract Collieries, with the Skinner Lane club able to move level on points with Emley if they win.

Darren Hepworth’s table-toppers have a ten-goal advantage in goal difference over Collieries, but will not want the gap at the top to be closed.

Emley remained top of the table despite not playing at the weekend when their clash with Grimsby Borough at the Welfare Ground was postponed.

There was no joy for Brighouse Town either as their meeting with Lancaster City at the Dual Seal Stadium also fell victim to the weather.

Brighouse’s next Evo-Stik First Division North outing will be away to Radcliffe Borough on Saturday.
