Honley Seconds are powering along at the top of Drakes Premiership Two after three straight wins.

After opening the season with a home win against Elland, they took full advantage of the double header against Hoylandswaine and Armitage Bridge to open up a six-point gap at the top.

Jimmy Green hit 57 as Honley scored a six-wicket win against Swaine, after dismissing the home side for 118 thanks to a three for four haul from young Louis Kenworthy.

Martin Green was instrumental in the four-wicket win against Armitage Bridge, taking three for 15 as the home side were sent back for 140 and then hitting 60 not out in the successful reply.

Jordan Williamson and Ben Roberts had three wickets apiece for the Bridge.

Attention turns to the Fired Up Paddock Shield first round on Sunday, when it’s a 1pm start and Honley visit holders Shepley.
