ARRON LILLEY warmed up for Sunday’s Sykes Cup semi-final with a Romida Twenty/20 century for Delph & Dobcross.

The young spinner cracked 103 in their crushing derby victory against Micklehurst, sharing an 82-run opening stand with Faisal Butt (45) to lay the platform for a 245-5 total.

Butt hit five fours and three sixes in his 20-ball 15-minute stay, while Lilley faced just 48 balls for his ton, smacking 13 fours and six sixes at his home Huddersfield Road ground.

Bilal Khiljee chipped in with 23 and Luke Hargreaves 38 not out, while Nick Lawrence was the best of the Micklehurst bowlers with three for 30.

Lawrence was then the only Micklehurst batsman to make any headway with 38 as the visitors were shot out for 80 – Matt Norvall, Lilley, Warren Jones and Steve Broadbent taking two wickets apiece.

Tom Denton underlined his form for Shepley ahead of their home Heavy Woollen Cup semi-final on Sunday with 78 in a 205-5 total against Kexborough, who closed on 133-5 in reply with Danny Glover taking three wickets.

Max Joice hit eight boundaries in his 39-ball 55 not out and took three for eight as Honley rolled Paddock for 105 in the process of clinching an eight-wicket win.
