IMPROVING Clayton West could be in line for a League and Cup double this season.

Mark Firth’s side are top of the Championship and tomorrow entertain Conference club Linthwaite as they bid for a place in the Oddfellows Cup final.

Having had their promotion hopes scuppered by a substantial points deduction for playing the unregistered Javed Iqbal snr, Holmfirth, skippered by Matt Gummerson will also be looking to glean something out of this season when they host Thongsbridge in the other semi.

Should either game be called off for bad weather, then the league have designated the following Sunday (July 31) as the contingency date.

Both Oddfellows games start at 1pm, as do the Earnshaw Cup semi-finals, in which Clayton West Seconds will be aiming to complete a club double when they visit Hall Bower, while Linthwaite will also be looking for a First and Second team double when they host Hoylandswaine.
