FROM the 107 centuries (plus the double ton), Wasim Jaffer had the most with 10, followed by Simon Kelly’s six, Matthew Wood with five and Imran Malik with four, while Greg Davis could claim three tons and the double.

The team boasting the most century-makers was Lepton Highlanders, where Steve Brown, Luke Webster, Gary Hodgson, Dale Winterbottom (2) and Alex Slack all laid claim to a ton.

There were also four ton-up men at both Shelley and Shepley. Shepley’s SP Singh, Tom Denton, Tim Rees and Liam Wiles. At Shelley they were Akhlaq Ahmed, Joe Sykes, Sam Scott and Scott Marsh.

At first sight it would appear 2010 was a batsman’s paradise, but although the first half of the season belonged to the ‘willow’ the bowlers joined the party in the second half, and 24 of them broke the 50 barrier, only one fewer than last year.

Leading the way was Honley spinner Tom Craddock with an excellent return of 79 Premiership victims, three ahead of Paddock’s bustling Steve Abbott, whose 76-wicket haul was particularly good as the Conference club played five League games fewer than the Premiership clubs, and Abbott failed to strike in his side’s first-round Sykes Cup exit, or the washed out Oddfellows match.

In third place was Shepley captain Danny Glover with 74, while the other leading bowlers were:

Ibrar Younis (Slaithwaite) 65; Jon Lee (Emley Clarence) and Ijaz Shah (Thongsbridge) 63; Harlon Haye (Honley) and Bilal Khiljee (Delph & Dobcross) 59; Mirza Mobeen (Almondbury) and Michael Jepps (Kexborough) 58; Romain Grenville (Broad Oak) and Chris Thomson (Clayton West) 57; Mohammed Shahnawaz (Scholes) and SP Singh (Shepley) 56.
