CLAYTON West, Lascelles Hall and Lepton marched into the Earnshaw Cup semi-finals for Second XIs while Hall Bower took the easy route.

Rastrick were unable to raise a team and so conceded their tie to the Bower.

Clayton West set a total of 195 against Micklehurst and won by 53.

Lepton topped Meltham’s tally of 167-9 without losing a wicket, Alan Waring and Yasir Azam taking them to victory with 84 not out and 70 not out respectively.

Azam had earlier taken a couple of wickets and Leigh Learie three against a Meltham line-up in which Barry Shaw made 71.

Jonathan Smith fell just one run short of a century as he led Lascelles Hall to 208-1 in reply to Shelley’s target of 207-9.

Taylor also contributed an unbeaten 56.
