IAN GLOVER, father of leading wicket-takers Danny (Shepley) and Craig (Skelmanthorpe), turned back the clock and temporarily stepped out of retirement to become a substitute fielder for Shepley at Scholes last Saturday.

He was called upon to stand in when stumper Steve Sullivan broke a finger and had to leave the field.

Sam Haigh took over the gloves, while Glover went on, making one excellent diving stop at mid on to help the side to victory.
