PEPLER SANDRI claimed a hat trick as Clayton West were the only Drakes club to beat the weather on Saturday.

The all-rounder took seven for 45 off eight overs to dismiss Holmfirth for 112, Javed Iqbal snr scoring 38 of those.

Paul Van den Berg chipped in with three for 33 from 13 for the home side before Sandri scored an unbeaten 31 in the four-wicket victory.

Elsewhere it was a soggy tale of waiting for the rain to stop, without much success!

There was some play in the Second XI programme, however, as Kexborough were able to finish their home match against Paddock, scoring a 10-wicket win, and Lepton hosted Hall Bower, only to lose by nine wickets.
