ARMITAGE BRIDGE are the Under 15 end-of-season Champion of Champions winners.

The Holme Valley side defeated Kirkburton by 11 runs in the split match – Kirkburton batting either side of the Bridge innings – to decide the top section of the end-of-season Tournament.

After Burton’s opening efforts, the Bridge totalled 154-6, with Sajid Bashir and Fahad Waseem each scoring a half century.

In reply, Rob Bartram was the most successful of the Kirkburton batsmen, but his undefeated 41 was not enough to carry his team to victory. Burton had finished the first section of their innings on 72-5.

Burton were the unbeaten winners of Area A, Armitage Bridge finishing second. But, as the best runner-up in any of the sections, they qualified for the Champion of Champions.

Armitage Bridge had beaten Kirkburton by just one run in the semi-finals.

In the End of Season A final (for the runners-up in each section and the best third places), Cumberworth beat Clayton West by eight wickets.

Clayton were dismissed for 94, Zak Hodder scoring a battling 38 not out, but Cumberworth were always in control thanks to a half century from Jordan Greaves.
