HUDDERSFIELD rounded off their Under 13 Lord’s Taverners tournament with a convincing eight wicket win over Halifax at Outlane.
Joe White took a wicket in the second over and although Yorkshire player Alec Mellor pushed the score along to 48-1, after he departed for 29, wickets then fell regularly.
Alistair Finn bowled an excellent line and length and with the help of some good catching finished with five for 11 off six overs as Halifax were bowled out for 82.
Huddersfield faced some hostile bowling but opener Will Fraine and Henry Philpott picked off anything loose, and after their dismissals, Jack Hendy and Charlie Metcalfe took Huddersfield home in just 14.2 overs.
Excellent catching has been a key while the team have bowled out all four of their opponents to take the maximum bowling points.
