FORMER Rastrick and Golcar all-rounder Shane Deitz will play against England this week.
He will be in the South Australia line-up as wicketkeeper for the three-day tour match which starts in Adelaide on Friday.
Deitz played for Golcar in 1995 and Rastrick the following year.
He takes the place of South Australia's vice- captain Graham Manou against England
"Shane is more than capable of taking the gloves and batting in the No7 position," said Paul Nobes, the chairman of selectors.
"He has earned this opportunity."
Ex-Yorkshire star Darren Lehmann will lead a strong South Australian side, including Headingley's Jason Gillespie and speed merchant Shaun Tait.
