CRICKET followers will be torn next Sunday, when both the Joe Lumb Cup and White Rose Trophy sides are at home.

The Under 18s, who returned to winning ways with a victory over Barnsley at Scholes, entertain the Craven District at Kirkheaton (1.00).

Broad Oak’s Jack Hargreaves, who has taken over the captaincy, is in fine form.

But he has plenty of quality to call upon, with Yorkshire Academy players Gurman Randhawa and Charlie Roebuck, who can now also boast Yorkshire second team experience, plus Callum Geldart.

Manager Richard Dodson is likely to send out the same side, depending on possible calls on his county trio.

Meanwhile, White Rose team manager Norman Clee is finalising his line-up this weekend for the second round clash against the Doncaster and Sheffield League, to be played at Broad Oak (1.30).

Huddersfield were gifted a bye into the second round after it was discovered their first round opponents, East Yorkshire, had in fact NOT entered the competition in the first place!

Should Huddersfield beat Doncaster/Sheffield, they will have another home draw in the semi-finals against the winners of the South Yorkshire v North Yorkshire & South Durham tie.
