HALL BOWER and rivals Upperthong will play each other in an Under 13 Area A title decider on Sunday.

Hall Bower have a two-point advantage after beating Thongsbridge.

But Upperthong are still challenging after defeating Kirkburton.

The Bower put Thongsbridge out of contention by beating them, although the Bridge fielded a much weakened team due to holidays.

Hall Bower posted a reasonable 106-5 score with Alex Crane 27 not out. Thongsbridge found in-form batsmen in Tom Webster (25) who took three catches and Ed Graham (28) but closed on 99-2 with Matthew Crane and Danny Russell bowling well to restrict them.

Birkby Rose Hill, Holmfirth or Paddock could still win Area B after chalking easy wins.

Top performer in that Area was Jack Rawlinson of Marsden, who took four for 17 and scored 25 but still finished on the losing side at Rastrick.

In Area C, Green Moor came out on top in the fight for second place after they started level on points with Emley.

Emley had a poor day in the field and dropped a number of catches, nullifying the good work James Capewell had done with the bat to reach a respectable total.
