NICKY CLEE dropped into Marsden Seconds and hammered 150 as Meltham were knocked out of the Spectrum Interiors Paddock Shield.

Clee shared in a stand of 123 with Alistair Farrell (52) after Martin Kyle had added 47 at the top of the order in a Marsden total of 299-5. Meltham were 108-7 in reply.

Clee’s clubmate Carl Zaffino was in similar League form with 120 not out as Slaithwaite were defeated by eight wickets in the Colne Valley derby.

Slaithwaite posted 194-7 with Freddie Garside run out for 75 and Martin Berry taking five wickets for Marsden. Zaffino’s knock enabled the home side to get home in 45.2 overs.

Another big century maker was David Woodhead of Golcar, who batted through for 143 not out as they totalled 246-5 against Elland, who were dismissed for 107 in reply.

Luke Potter also topped the ton (115) for Kexborough in their comfortable win at Linthwaite.
